Accessibility
A party game only works if everyone at the party can play. We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 AA, and here's what that means in practice.
What's built in
- Every story is both read aloud and shown in full on screen, with the sentence being read highlighted.
- Who wrote what is always shown with names and icons, not color alone.
- Controls work with a keyboard and show a visible focus ring, and they're labeled for screen readers.
- Animations respect your device's reduced-motion setting.
- Phone controls are large tap targets, one task per screen, and text scales with your browser's text size.
- Text and controls meet contrast guidelines in both dark and light themes.
- The host can pause the game or choose relaxed timers when anyone needs more time.
Known gaps
- Narration uses your browser's built-in voices, so quality varies by device.
- Timed rounds can be hard for some players even on relaxed timers; we're working on an untimed mode.
